Pen Style Vape Kits

Compact, discreet and user-friendly, vape pens are perfect for beginners. They neatly bridge the gap between disposable cigalikes and advanced kits. Better still, exciting new sub ohm vape pens are coming to market which are also suitable for more experienced vapers. We have selected the finest vape pen starter kits from the leading brands for you to choose from. You will discover the latest offerings from Aspire, Vaporesso, Innokin, Uwell, Kanger, Joyetech and more.

What is a vape pen?

There is a wonderful array of electronic cigarettes now available. While some feature more bells and whistles than others, all e cigs work in the same way. They each feature a battery, an e liquid reservoir and an atomiser head. The latter boasts a coil and wicking to soak up the e liquid. When the battery fires the coil, it gets hot, vaporizes the e liquid in the wicking and that vapour can then be inhaled.

Vape pens consist of a cylindrical rechargeable battery and an e liquid tank complete with atomiser head. This type of device is easy to operate, usually via a single button which enables you to turn the device on and off and also to fire the coil. The button will typically also feature an LED battery life indicator. All you need to do is charge your battery and keep your tank topped up with vape juice.

Designed to make vaping accessible, vape pens don’t tend to offer advanced features such as Temperature Control, finite Variable Wattage or OLED displays. But since the first vape pens came to market, more complex models have become available. You are no longer confined to high resistance coils and high PG e liquids as you can now invest in sub ohm vape pens.

What is sub ohm vaping?

Coils vary in their resistance with lower resistance coils heating to higher temperatures and so vaporising a larger amount of eliquid when they are fired. This means bigger vapour clouds. Resistance is expressed in ohms. Coils with a resistance of less than one ohm are referred to as sub ohm. A sub ohm vape pen will enable you to take advantage of a wonderful array of high VG e liquids which would clog higher resistance coils.

You will discover outstanding sub ohm vape pens in our range including the Aspire Pockex, Innokin Plexar, Uwell Nunchaku and SMOK Stick V8 Baby. As many manufacturers are now producing a choice of coils for their vape pens, some devices enable you to switch between sub ohm coils and those with higher resistances. Vape pen starter kits are supplied with at least one coil and most with two. You will find kits which include both a sub ohm coil and a higher resistance coil, giving you choices as soon as you open the box.

How to choose the right vape pen

Vape pens have evolved considerably since the first devices were produced. Today’s e cigs deliver better flavour and some incorporate considerably larger batteries. You could choose a sub ohm starter kit or one with additional features such as adjustable airflow and variable wattage. There’s a fabulous vape pen for everyone but how do you decide which one is right for you?

If you are just starting out, it might be best to keep things simple. However, only you know if a more advanced piece of kit will flummox you. Our product listings tell you everything you need to know about each device. Think about how long you need your battery to last between charges. The bigger the battery, the longer it will last. However, bigger batteries mean bigger devices which might be so convenient when you are on the go.

Sub ohm vape pens deliver impressive clouds but consume e liquid at a faster rate. This may be an issue if you are on a budget. In addition, those vapour clouds might be problematic if you want to keep things discreet. If your nicotine fix is your primary concern, remember that you will need higher resistance coils for e liquids with higher concentrations of nicotine or those featuring nic salts.

Does style matter?

It’s important to choose a vape pen that you feel comfortable using and one which offers the performance you are looking for. But style could also be a consideration. Our sleek and funky vape pens offer a variety of looks and colours. You are sure to find a vape pen starter kit with appealing aesthetics.
